COVID-19 infection rates among bank employees 'alarming': IBA
Citing an "alarming" rise in COVID-19 infections among bank employees, the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) has asked the Centre to restrict banking hours from 10 am to 2 pm. IBA said it was in favour of continuing essential services such as accepting deposits, cash withdrawals and government businesses. Ideally, 50% of the staff should be called to offices, IBA added.
